Is there a best place in Fiji to do a beginner course. Would like to see a column on how to find a good place to do a dive course. Do you have any ideas on that?

Sorry Rob. I have been a bit tardy and have not signed on in ages. I found your website/page whilst trawling the net doing some background research for another family trip to Fiji and helping my daughter with a school presentation on her ancestral background. (My Mum was Fijian and Dad was first generation Fiji-Indian). We are regular visitors to Fiji and use a mix of accomodation - some time with relatives and then we escape to a four or five star resort and also try some fully-self contained budget accomodation thrown in so the girls can experience this as well for the future when they are travelling with their peers. We have travelled through Europe and parts of Asia but find we relax best on a beachfront in Fiji or Australia.

Hi Kavina,

Thanks for getting back to me. Sega na lega. Best to email me directly @ rkay@lava.net. You can ring too. I think I gave you my card. If not, K'll email you my number. I'd be happy to take you and Nikola out to dinner sometime.

Hi Rob,
How have you been? Sorry I couldn't get in touch recently. Was quite busy with exam preparations and lately I was suffering from flu. Things on my side are pretty much in my favor so far and I'm still hoping for the best.
I forgot to tell you that I came in Piere Omidyar's talk but there were hundreds of people and I couldn't plot you anywhere. I was there for a short while as well so wouldn't have met you anyways.

Do write back and wishing you lucks.
Kavina.

Bula Re Robert, vinaka for my being accepted. Upon receiving your last note in Nov. I had not been accepted and that is why I had not commented or written. Looked several times how to let you know but lazily gave up. I have been here on Maui since mid Nov, and am quite glad I had decided to "summer" in Hawaii. My caretaker has only complained about how "hot" it has been in Savusavu since early Dec. Guess you would have first hand experience since you were visiting about end of the year. You have also been filled in on how incredibly shitty the situation has gotten there with uncle Benny at the reins. It really doen't make much difference to the ex pats or tourists but it is really hurting the common man in Fiji. Breaks my heart to see those in the villages and out in the bush getting by on much less than they had even last year. You also know how dangerous it is to even talk about it. It has driven me to put my home on the market and fully planning to move to western Samoa if it does sell. Sorry Benny but I prefer potatoes not dick-tators. I'll be headed back to Savu2 in a month, by then I should only have to deal with a month or the hot and sticky days. Thanks for my acceptance my friend, if you need anything just let me know... Moce, BulaBob

Hi Marilyn,

I've just eviscerated her. I'm sorry about the hassle. Thanks for the head's up! An administrators day is never done! Look forward to hearing about your next trip to the Yasawas!

I don't have a good feeling about her. In fact, I think it's a phony name. I'm going to remove her.

Hi Rob
I've just had a comment on my page from one Esperanza Mia - I hope this isn't the start of the spam that haunted your old site - I don't want to reply to her - any way you can warn her off this sort of thing?
Been busy of late but hopefully I can update some details on Octopus soon. Really enjoying this new site - great stuff.

Dear Rob,
I will come to see you after your lunch. So that's probably after 1pm. Nikola was saying she'll go after 1pm as well, so we'll come together. I'll let Gene know this as well.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Kavs.
